The relative Insurance Policy, covers the liability of the assured:
In accordance with the convention on contracts of carriage in international road transport (CMR). This insurance also covers the assured’s liability in accordance with the Greek civil code for transports within Greece or frontier – crossing transports if the CMR cannot be asserted before a Greek court.
In accordance with the FIATA COMBINED TRANSPORT BILL OF LADING (FBL) or the FIATA FORWARDING OF RECEIPT (FCR) or a THROUGH BILL OF LADING (TBL) which contains the same liability, or BILL OF LADING (B/L) relating to legal regulations of Hague Visby rules, of 25/08/1924, and relevant amendments.
In the case of air freight, in accordance with the convention for the unification of certain rules relating to international carriage by air (Warsaw Convention) or legal regulations of the National Law of Warsaw Convention does not include special regulations.
The liability of the assured is also covered if claims are made against the assured for damages occurring in its capacity as receiving / forwarding agents and/or carriers of the assured if the assured is liable for these claims.
The insurance shall also apply to combined traffic, i.e. when the loaded lorry is transported by another means of transport, for example by ship or railway.
The respective limits covered under the above mentioned annual Freight Forwarder’s Liability Insurance Policy is EURO 300.000,00 any one loss or damage.
